Is anyone getting this? I know Logax is and i'm pretty sure more of you are. I pre ordered my copy a while ago and wouldn't mind playing with and vs ppl I know.

i will defo be getting this....although bit of a novice to the concept, is it like dawn of war 2 with a campaign style thing or is it like AoE3 for example where you pwned other players online through building your own base/resources etc?

Well gotten it on release day and earlier today I completed the campaign wich was awesome.
Practicing vs AI a bit in preperation fo some multiplayer matches. For anyone that has this game you can also add me by adding me as a character plus the character code. My name plus char code is MdD114

Starcraft sounds pretty awesome but i generally play very few PC games and suck generously at RTS. How long-ish is the campaign and do i have to have played the first to understand what the hell is going on?
i read up on karrigan's (zerg woman) wiki page and its about enough to make 2 full length movies out of >.<

i also dont usually play pc games outside of mmo's
i own stalker shadow of Chernobyl and Crysis but i bought sc2 and im really enjoying the campaign the cut scenes are excellent the story moves along well
plenty of achievements to earn so for me at least there is plenty of playtime in it
i will only play multi person against folks i know or maybe in a future DI challenge tournement once we all get used to the gameplay
drawback for me is as its linked to your battle.net account if you buy it and dont like it i doubt it has a resale value
so if your unsure w8 til the price drops and try it at christmas
but for me the gamble paid off

The campaign is decently long with 26 missions (tho I completed it with 25 missions as I missed a bonus one). You can play tutorials to get used to the controls and it's advised to play them if you're new to SC or rts in general. As for the story of SC1 and Broodwar (the expansion) it is told to you while you install the game but you can also find ingame footage on youtube if you wish to learn about the story like that.
Gedd what's your SC2 name and code? I'll add you to the list for some friendly matches.

I just bought the game and linked the serial key to my battlenet account.
Where am i supposed to find those codes you lot talk about? Friendcodes? character codes? is this created in game or on teh battle-net site?
(still at work atm)

When you create a character and are transported to the main menu (the ingame one not battlenet) you see a portrait in the upper right of the screen. When you mouse over that portrait you see the code attatched to your name.
